Unfortunately, our celebrity index at tonight’s premiere is not looking so glamorous: Scarlett Johansson will not be joining us. Perhaps as the film’s reputation grows, and other people know that it is worthy of being seen at, we will win the audience of such recently-engaged starlets.
Nor will Academy Award Nominee Hal Holbrook be joining us, the sex symbol for the senior set, who has all of two lines in the film.
I do hope we are able to collect ourselves and press on, and still watch the movie tonight.
It was a pleasure to attend last night’s screening in Beverly Hills. Having added my small contribution to Free For All, it was gratifying to hear the laughs and gaps of the audience, at the appropriate places. John and Holly created a very special vision, in trying to make a difference and inspire people to do the right thing.
